Double Shot Dawn Riders is back on for Bike’vember! This year we’ll be meeting at 6.30am to make the most of it!
What’s better than an early ride to catch the sunrise? An early ride to catch the sunrise with a freshly brewed hit of your favourite caffeinated blend at the end. That’s what. Double Shot Dawn Riders is an idea: gather together and take a ride in the quietness to a splendid spot and catch the early rays, spark up the stove top on your burner, sip, chat, contemplate, wake up and welcome another day of possible bicycle adventures.
It’s pretty loose – whoever turns up, turns up, no one is leading, ride how and what (and why) you want. Just bring some sort of coffee making apparatus, or a fresh brewed flask, yourself and a bike. Think social not sport, any bike will do and lycra makes the coffee taste odd.
Meet at Good Rotations bicycle shop in Wanaka (34 Anderson Road) at 6.30am, every Thursday in November (or when anyone calls it!), unless the weather is truly hideous, in which case you might be on your own!
Check Good Rotations’ facebook event page before the date, there may be updates (and may not – I said loose, remember?!).
Also feel free to post there if you’re going and want to rally your posse!
